Actor and co-star in three of The Beatles’ films, Victor Spinetti died yesterday at age 82.

Victor Spinetti also directed at the National Theatre the adaptation of the book of John Lennon “In His Own Write”. Spinetti make a small appearance in the promotional video of London Town of Paul McCartney in 1978. He sang the song “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” on “The Beatles Complete on Ukulele”. One time George Harrison said to Spinetti “You’ve got to be in all our films if you’re not in them my Mum won’t come and see them because she fancies you.” Paul McCartney described Spinetti as “the man who makes clouds disappear”.
