     Yeah, I’m not even really all-in when it comes to digging Polanski as a filmmaker but there seems to be some truth to what he’s saying here. I liked the “boring interviews with people on the street” bit especially.

   I’m with you in lack of enthusiasm for most of his output. Maybe perversely, I probably like his Macbeth better than anything else he’s done.
