    Ford at first supported FDR and the Demos, but steadily moved to the right, actually voting for Nixon in ’68. Ford reportedly brawled with actors on occasion, including Hank Fonda (Ford also sent shekels to the IRA). But I doubt Fonda thought too much of Ford’s support of the Nixonians.

    Grapes of Wrath still a quite cool flick, and politically relevant, however sentimental or corny it may seem to mallrats raised on the Matrix.
