I like this dog turd, the one that is nicely firm, with little light brown specks sprinkled through the hard black core, much better than that dog turd, the one that’s rather runny with creamy with swirly greenish colored strands in it.
Much of rock (and other art) criticism is like this. Waxing philosophical about meaningless details all the while forgetting that what you are looking at (listening to) is just a plain old dog turd.

I know—-I thought the same. Easily my least favorite song on that album.
