So is that Lindsay Anderson playing an “extra” walk-on role in his O’Lucky Man!’ film or is it an off-camera moment? I have not got the film to hand and though I must have watched it a dozen times, I cannot remember this scene.
The Lindsay Anderson “If/Oh Lucky Man!/Brittania Hospital” trilogy is without a doubt one of the finest moments of British cinema…..the ‘Oh Lucky Man!’ Alan Price title track is pretty damned good as well.
This is the opening. Price and his band perform their song while Anderson just sort of sits there watching them. A totally odd choice but one that worked for me.
