Othello

Orson and Micheál Mac Liammóir in Othello. 1952.

Had he by some miracle made it this far, today would have been the Boy Wonder’s 100th birthday. So let’s celebrate Orson a little bit. As Marlene Dietrich put it, “he was a great, great man and a genius. People should cross themselves before they speak his name.”

I hate embedding video on this site so go to the 29-minute mark here to see Orson’s Mentalism Spot on David Copperfield’s first TV special. 1978.

And check out these magazine covers and the rest of the Orson archive.
