This was both his studio (from 1955 on) and is home. Melville had the feeling that someone lit that fire. He built it up again and used the place until his death, six years later.
Have you read the only book abour Melville : it’s an interview book “à la” Hitchcock-Truffaut by RuinNogueria ?
I haven’t read that. This guy has been on my mind as I’ve recently been watching some of his films that I haven’t seen yet.
