What a fantastic picture. Everyone looks very very cool. Even Huston who looks at first like a broken down old man about to fall off a horse – but then you look again and see the cigar in his left hand. Rewritten and reversed? Dammit, the old man’s cool as well . ..
Everyone’s hand signifying is quite beautiful.
On the basis of this photograph I watched Sarne’s 1966 Road to Saint Tropez (free on his website) and enjoyed it greatly. Myra Breckinridge, which I’d always written off as some cheezy exploito piece of junk, I now will seek out and watch. Also his film ‘Joanna’ (1968).
I like some serendipity … – thanks Chained .
Thanks for the heads up on Road to Saint Tropez—I just watched it myself and enjoyed it greatly as well. It’s on to Joanna for me I hope…
