This optimistic sticker on the sleeve of The Beach Boys’s M.I.U. Album predicted that their weak cover of “Peggy Sue”, done in a Hooray for Everything-style arrangment, would be a hit. It only managed to make it to #59 on the Billboard charts. Is #59 considered a hit for an act that was once accustomed to regular top tens?

I can’t come up with anything better to call this one, but here’s a new feature on the stickers that were stuck on records. It’s pretty ephemeral and perhaps worth exploring I guess.

First up is the sticker that was stuck on first pressings of Thriller. 1982.
